So how long is it normal to be sore after you've done an exercise routine?
If you've pushed yourself, you should feel muscle soreness the next day, maybe even two days after.
If you pushed yourself really hard and you're feeling soreness three days after an exercise routine, you did a little bit more than you were quite ready to do...and if you feel it four days after doing an exercise routine, that is an absolute no go! You're really risking getting injured at that point because you asked your body to do something that it was completely not ready to do.
Hopefully your body will give you a free pass this time but next time you need to kind of reign yourself in and don't do quite as intense of a workout routine until you're able to ease into it and work up to that level.
