If your ankles feel stiff or your feet hurt with your first steps getting up in the morning, it's important to get everything warmed up before your feet hit the floor.
An easy way to do that is to grab onto your toes and pull them towards your knee to get a really gentle stretch on the back of the lower leg and across the underside of the foot.
Hold it for just a few seconds and relax, then pull again. Repeat 10 times before you take your first step.
